First National Bank invites communities to share warmth through Hat & Mitten Drive
A warm hat or pair of mittens can make a meaningful difference during Maine's cold winter months. This fall, First National Bank is inviting community members to help keep their neighbors warm through its Warm Hands, Warm Hearts Hat & Mitten Drive, taking place now through Nov. 16.
Throughout the drive, all First National Bank branches will serve as collection locations for new hats, gloves, and mittens to benefit local children and families. Handmade items are also welcome, giving community members another meaningful way to contribute.
"At First National Bank, we believe that caring for our communities starts with looking out for one another," shared President and CEO Tony McKim. "The Warm Hands, Warm Hearts Hat & Mitten Drive is a simple way for us to come together and make a difference. Every hat and pair of mittens donated is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can bring warmth to someone's day."
The initiative reflects First National Bank's ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities it serves. By encouraging customers, employees, and residents to participate, the bank hopes to bring people together around a shared goal of helping neighbors stay warm this winter.
How to participate
Community members can donate new hats, gloves, and mittens, including handmade items, at any First National Bank branch from now through Nov. 16.
Donations will help provide winter essentials to local children and families who need them most.
"We're grateful to be part of communities where people consistently show up for one another," added Michelle Curtis, VP, Community Engagement Officer. "Together, we can help make the colder months a little warmer for our neighbors."
