Edgecomb Fire Department January report
January was a busy month for the Edgecomb Fire Department. We responded to 15 calls in January, including six medical emergencies (ME), five motor vehicle accidents (MVA), three vehicle fires, and one fire alarm.
We also hosted an ice water rescue training class for the Edgecomb, Wiscasset and Westport fire departments. Twenty firefighters from the three departments attended the class. Other training included our monthly truck check of all apparatus and equipment and a review of the department’s policies and procedures. Ongoing training is critical in maintaining our readiness to respond to any calls.
