Cocktails & Chrome fundraiser Aug. 29
The Boothbay Railway Village Museum will be hosting the third annual Cocktails & Chrome event on Saturday, Aug. 29 – a community-wide celebration in support of Maine's automotive heritage.
The event is a one-of-a-kind experience that will feature a lobster bake, silent auction, tours of the Antique Auto Museum, music by the Don Campbell Band, dancing, and of course train rides. Registration is now open at railwayvillage.org. Tickets are $110 for the general public and $100 for Railway Village Museum members.
Tickets include: • Hors d’oeuvres and signature drink, beer, or wine (1 drink included, cash bar available); • A traditional lobster bake: twin lobsters, steamers, chowder, potatoes, corn, sausage, egg and blueberry pie (prime rib option available, selection made during check out process; • Music by the Don Campbell Band: and • A silent auction featuring irresistible local treasures.
All event proceeds will benefit the Railway Village Museum capital campaign for automotive preservation. The Railway Village Museum capital campaign will support the development of a new 8,000-square-foot building, adjacent to the Antique Auto Museum and reminiscent of an early Ford dealership, that will include the following state-of-the-art facilities for our campus and community: • Community Education Center • Archival Storage • Auto Workshop • Showroom • Restrooms.
