On Saturday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m., Charlotte Nutt, candidate for State Representative House District 48 (Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, Southport, South Bristol, and Westport Island), will be holding a campaign launch event at Footbridge Brewery in Boothbay Harbor. Charlotte will be joined by current District 48 Representative Holly Stover who is serving her final term due to state term limits.

Charlotte believes that strengthening state support for municipalities is crucial to building resilience. Working waterfronts, attainable housing, climate resilience, and strong local economies all originate at the local level and are bolstered by state programs. She is dedicated to protecting our communities and ways of life. She recognizes the political division in this country, but also sees common ground, especially in Maine. Charlotte believes we all want secure housing, healthcare, and to balance work, family, and recreation. She looks forward to representing the coastal Maine way of life in Augusta. 

Stover says, “Charlotte possesses a calm steadiness and wisdom that speaks volumes about her character. She has already accomplished great things in her own career, and I know she will bring that same drive and focus on serving our district as our next state representative.”
