The BRHS cheerleading team performs at a recent basketball game. KEVIN BURNHAM/Boothbay RegisterThe Boothbay Region High School cheerleading team will be competing at the Mountain Valley Conference championship on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Augusta Civic Center. Admission is $5 per person.
According to the schedule, BRHS's performance is scheduled third overall at 10:12 a.m. Other conferences competing in the rotating schedule include Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference and Western Maine Conference. Awards start at 1:45 p.m.
BRHS will also compete at the Regional Championships on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Sanford High School with competition starting at 1 p.m., according to coach Michele Ripley.
