The Boothbay Region Democratic Committee invites everyone to join them for their annual picnic on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. on the Boothbay Common. The free event is fast becoming a favorite BRDC tradition, bringing friends, neighbors, and community members together for an afternoon of good food, friendship, and conversation. 

The picnic will feature brief remarks from Charlotte Nutt, who is running to succeed Representative Holly Stover as Stover terms out, and Senator Cameron Reny, who is running for reelection. With the November general election approaching, the afternoon will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear from the candidates and show their support as the campaign season enters its final weeks. 

The menu will feature plenty of traditional picnic fare, including burgers, hot dogs, chicken and vegetarian burgers, chicken sausages and other favorites. Guests can simply come, enjoy a plate of good food, catch up with friends and neighbors, and take in the relaxed atmosphere that has made the annual picnic such a popular event.

The picnic also offers a welcome opportunity to come together at an important moment in the election season. With the general election just weeks away, being together and showing support for our candidates is more important than ever. Nutt and Reny will share brief remarks, but the emphasis will be on enjoying the afternoon and the company of friends and fellow community members. 

The annual picnic is free and open to all. No RSVP or committee membership is required — just come and enjoy the afternoon. Guests are encouraged to bring a friend or two.
