Boothbay Railway Village Museum kicks off its 2026 season full throttle
The Boothbay Railway Village Museum launched its 62nd season over Memorial Day Weekend and is open weekends only until Father’s Day (June 21). The team is geared up and looking forward to welcoming visitors of all ages with another exciting lineup of vintage entertainment.
The Museum’s jam-packed event calendar begins this weekend.
On Saturday, June 6, the Maine Bureau of Veteran’s Services and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will host the Veterans and Community Connection Expo on the Village Green from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will welcome all veterans, service members and their families to connect with federal, state, and community partners regarding available benefits and resources. There will be music, food, giveaways, over 30 vendors, and entertainment for the whole family. The museum will be open to all visitors, and train rides will run on a regular schedule (standard admission applies).
On Sunday, June 7, Museum visitors can catch the arrival of the Northeast Rod Run’s 6th annual Bay Invasion Tour, as an exciting mix of American-made hot rods, muscle cars and classic cars cruise onto the Village Green. The museum gates open at 10 a.m., offering the perfect vantage point to watch the vehicles pull in before they depart at noon. The museum will be open to all visitors, and train rides will run on a regular schedule (standard admission applies).
Visitors can treat Dad to a free ride on Father's Day (Sunday, June 21), then shift gears the following Sunday (June 28) as the beloved Cars and Coffee series officially kicks off for the season.
Be sure to add the museum to your summer itinerary. Set on 35 expansive acres, it invites you to step back in time and immerse yourself in the vintage charm of coastal Maine a century ago.
The museum is open Saturdays and Sundays through June 21, and begins regular season hours on Tuesday, June 23 (Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.). The Iron Horse Antiques & General Store is open daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Visit RailwayVillage.org for more information.
