Boothbay Harbor recently announced six openings for officers on five committees. Nomination papers will be available from the town clerk starting Jan. 21.  

The following three-year seats are open due to expiring terms for listed members:   

Board of Selectmen and Overseers of the Poor: Mark Gimbel and Mark Osborn (resigned)

Community School District School Committee: Jenessa Garrett

Community School District Board of Trustees: Darrell Gudroe

Boothbay Region Water District Board of Trustees: David Tibbetts 

Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District Trustee: Susan Hochstein

Nomination papers must be returned to the Boothbay Harbor Town Clerk by 4:30 p.m. March 2. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 and registered to vote in Boothbay Harbor.  

Voting for the officers will be held at the Boothbay Harbor Fire Station May 1 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Town meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 2 at the fire station, where the officers will be sworn in.
