CAMARADERIE & EXERCISE WITH COASTAL SENIOR COLLEGE
LIFELONG LEARNING remains the key element offered by the Maine Senior College Network at all of its seventeen (17) locations statewide.
A big part of the learning process is the sharing of experiences, ideas, opinions and especially the joy of learning TOGETHER.
Still in the long process of coming out of our snail shells following the Covid pandemic of earlier in the decade, many of us have redefined and relearned the joy of mingling and social interaction, especially in our senior communities.
COASTAL SENIOR COLLEGE dedicates itself in three semesters each year – fall, winter and spring – to gathering volunteer experts from Lincoln and Knox Counties to share their knowledge from former fields of work and study to spark new worlds of discovery among its 350+ members.
BUT we don’t stop there!!! Also on offer to our members is a variety of more casual explorations offered FREE OF CHARGE to members.
One of the most popular of our programs is our series of FALL & SPRING WALKS. This fall three walks have been organized by the Activities Committee team of Nancy Adams, Kitty Norton Walt Barrows, Janet Davis and Jayne Gordon.
The first of the walks with resounding success was to Hog Island on September 9.
Second on the team’s agenda is to unfold on September 28 to the MERRYSPRING NATURE CENTER in Camden in conjunction with our annual Homecoming Picnic.
