Life just got a little easier for the Southport code enforcement officer. On Dec. 18, selectmen approved licensing Adobe software for $20 per month. Code Enforcement Officer Mike Thompson will use the software to electronically fill out forms such as building permits, which makes them more legible.
In other action, selectmen approved closing the town office on Dec. 23 and 26. The board also moved its regularly scheduled 5 p.m. Wednesday meeting to Thursday, Dec. 26 at the same time. Selectmen also approved Emma Gay's, Morgan Mitchell's and Andrei Bazaias' request to rent the town hall for a Jan. 25 dinner party.
