Dear Editor:

I would like to encourage Edgecomb voters to elect Maureen Heffernan to the Edgecomb School Board.

I know Maureen because my late husband, Tom Boudin,  worked with her at CMBG for a number of years. He greatly enjoyed working with her and highly respected her for her work ethic and vision.

Her background in running non-profit organizations, organizing educational programs and events gives her a solid background for serving in this position. I would fully expect her to put her intellect and heart into this position to make good decisions so kids excel in their learning. I know she will work well with school officials, school staff and Edgecomb residents to further strengthen our school.

I hope you will join me in voting for Maureen on May 16.
