Dear Editor:

It is sad to say that most voters don’t know who their State Senator and State Representative are. They walk into vote and don’t know who or what they are voting for. Some will blank a candidate or check off a candidate knowing nothing about them. On Nov. 3, Maine needs to change one party control at the State House. We are sinking with high property taxes, high energy costs, miss use of Medicare/Mainecare funds, tax dollars wasted on green energy projects, public schools’ students failing reading and math, no funding for no tax on tips or overtime and no tax on Social Security. The Democrat control in Augusta for eight years will leave us with a debt of over 1.7 billon dollars. Maine can’t continue down this road we need change.

House District 48 is an open seat. Eric Hobson is a Republican that will find ways to lower the cost of living in Maine. He is committed to fighting for our fishermen, working families and seniors who are struggling under Augusta’s legislation. He will work to reduce government spending, lower energy costs, eliminate waste, fraud and corruption and work for career training that will give Mainers a career training that will give Mainers a career that will support their families. If you live in the town of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, South Bristol, Southport and Westport Island.
