Trevett Column: Gearing up for the 17th
It is sure to be another fantastic evening at the BICA hall on Dec. 17. This is a night you won’t want to miss as the trustees and officers do most of the work with things getting started at 5:30. Everyone is invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share, and let’s make it a true feast! Coffee and water will be provided, but feel free to bring your beverage of choice to keep the good times rolling!
Bill B., Bill H., Mel, Les, Jeffory and Alan did an outstanding job hosting the November potluck. Brian provided an extra special treat with hot dogs from his hot dog cooker. That was a wow! And thanks to the many folks who helped clean up. Using the cans of food centerpieces, the $1,020 individuals donated and the $1,000 BICA match, BICA was able to make a very significant donation to the Food Pantry. Around 30 people shared laughter and company that night and together with many others in the BICA community made a real difference.
Dec. 7 was the annual wrapping of the children’s Christmas presents with Judy and Evelyn directing the event. If you missed this, you are still able to leave gifts at Evelyn’s house. And of course, money can always be used to fill in any gaps in the gifts. Thank you in advance for helping continue this BICA tradition.
After the 17th the hall will be put to rest for the winter months to be back in action in April. During January through March, there will be gatherings in folks’ home. You will be notified by email with details of these. If you don’t currently receive the BICA emails, you may contact Judy at judyb1625@gmail.com to get added to the email list.
You may contact Bill at wfbutterfield@roadrunner.com with any questions or offers to help with BICA events. There will be plenty of opportunities to be involved in 2026.
