Sarah Seepe
Sarah Seepe of Boothbay Harbor died Dec. 3, 2025 in Boothbay Harbor. Sarah was born to Helen Ethel (Jackson) and Raymond William Ernest in Springfield, Vermont and moved to Maine the following month. Whatever the circumstances, she always returned to Maine.
Educated in Northeast Harbor, Bucksport, University of Maine in Farmington and Orono, she earned several Degrees: BA in elementary education, master's in special education, certificate of advanced ctudy in guidance and counseling, school administration and staff development.
Sarah was always interested in learning new information and sharing the knowledge. Learning and sharing was always a joy. After 34 years in education and upon retirement to Boothbay, Sarah introduced the region to the game of Mah Jongg in 2001 with the help of her friends and her husband, Bill, by forming and developing the Boothbay Region Mah Jongg Group. It was her pleasure to share an activity she enjoyed with her friends. She met many lovely people and made long-lasting wonderful friendships. She always said she was the true beneficiary. Her husband, Bill, was always a loyal supporter of any of her projects. He did all the computer work which resulted in a group donation to The Boothbay Region Food Pantry each year.
Sarah is survived by William Seepe, her husband of 58 years; her cousin, Janet Bruel of West Boothbay Harbor; and a great niece, Rebecca King, of Stuttgart, Germany.
The family wishes to that the supportive staff members of Duke Cancer Center in Durham, North Carolina, especially Dr. Christopher Holmes and Hildi Cornwell, Dr. Alan Barker of Lincoln Medical Partners, Sam McLellan of Andwell Hospice Care and the many close friends whose support and kindness helped through this difficult time.
Per Sarah’s wishes, there will only be private services.
