Thank you, Robert Mitchell
Dear Editor:
I would like to thank Bob Mitchell for the lovely article he did about me in the paper this last Thursday. It came as a total surprise, and although stunned, I must say, I was flattered and very humbled that he would pick me along with so many of the people he has featured in his wonderful articles.
Bob is a treasure himself always bringing to us these wonderful articles on people or places or events that may be going on now or from the past; it’s always the first thing I go to when the paper comes out. I hear this from so many people. I love the way he wove the story of this part of our little neighborhood under Moore Rock, from past to present and, of course, included me in the history of our little part of the Harbor.
Articles like the one he wrote about Eliot Winslow with a beautiful photograph of him and his dog brought tears to my eyes.
Bob has the talent and sensitivity to capture more than just an image, but the true sense of his subjects. Now we need someone to do a beautiful article on Robert Mitchell, the spiritual historian of Boothbay Harbor.
Thanks again Bob you really did surprise me and yes, it was a very nice surprise.
