The state primaries are Tuesday, June 9. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport and Edgecomb. Since 2024, unenrolled voters (sometimes called independents) can also participate. If you’re unenrolled, you may vote in one party’s primary election without enrolling in that party.  

Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor voters will also be asked to validate the Community School District (CSD)’s $12.1 million budget that was adopted at the April 28 meeting.  

Governor-Democratic: Shenna Bellows, Troy Dale Jackson, Angus King III, Hannah Pingree and Nirav Shah 

Governor- Republican: Jonathan Bush, Bobby Charles, David Jones, James Libby, Garrett Mason, Owen McCarthy, Ben Midgley and Robert J. Wessels

Representative to Maine Legislature (District 48)- Democratic: Charlotte Nutt

Lincoln County elections: Register of the Probate (Catherine Moore-R), County Treasurer (Michelle Kane-R), Register of the Deeds (Rebecca Wotton-R) and Lincoln County Sheriff (Todd Brackett-D)
