"The Phoenician Scheme" - (PG-13; 1 hour, 41 minutes) - The new film from acclaimed director Wes Anderson, about a family and a family business - and a conspiracy - debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in the main competition. The all star cast, led by Benicio Del Toro, includes Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Scott Shephard, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Willem Dafoe, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Talking Aquaculture in Maine: Scallops - Presented in partnership with Island Institute, this free series brings important conversations to our community presented by those who are making a substantial contribution to aquaculture here in the state of Maine. On Monday, July 7 at 7 p.m. hear from a variety of farmers and other experts about how scallops are farmed, the value they bring to the state, and future opportunities. Lincoln Theater is pleased to welcome Sam Belknap, director of the Center for Marine Economy at Island Institute, to facilitate and moderate this conversation between experts. Speakers include Dana Morse, (Maine Sea Grant), Emma Fernald, (Bay Lady Scallops), Hugh Cowperthwaite (Fisheries and Aquaculture; CEI), and Madison Maier (Hurricane Island). This is a free non-ticketed event with general admission, sponsored by Shuck Station and Island Institute.
