Ocean Point Column: A lot of thank yous to hand out
It’s been another week of beautiful weather and lots of activities and there are many individuals to thank.
Thank you to the Brown family for a wonderful ball game grill last Sunday.
Thank you to Pat and Bob Landurand for sharing their expertise in ballroom dancing. This was the first in a series on Monday evenings so if you missed out please come join in the fun.
Our AD Tim Mahoney generously gave of his time last Tuesday night so that we could watch the All Star Game at the Casino and he also provided the snacks, thank you Tim.
Our ladies porch party was well attended thanks to our host Kathy Lindley and our book club was also well attended, thank you to Amy Imhof and Carol May.
The annual Memorial Golf Tournament was held last Saturday and was organized by Robert Dana. Winners included: First place was Will Bertrand, Pat, Werner and Mike Anderson. Second place were Robert Dana, Dave Finch, Paul Cass and Keith May. Longest Drive for the men was Mike Anderson and for the women Ginna Yerrall. Closest to the pin was Pat Werner Anderson and Pat Anderson was closest to the pin for the women.
Although I was unable to attend the Drone Show this past Saturday night I heard it was quite spectacular; check out the great pictures posted by Tom Peckham on the Facebook page.
Team Dawson defeated Team Slayton in Sunday’s softball game 11-7.

Thank you to Tim and Abby Mahoney for all of their work in making events and activities run so smoothly and to Luke Driscoll who fills in on their day off.
All of the children are thoroughly enjoying story time with Sue Taylor on Wednesday mornings and the adults are taking advantage of the exercise classes. Thanks to Sarah for her invigorating Zumba and Mary Rush for her dynamic yoga.
Along with regular activities this week Ladies Bunco is Wednesday night July 23 at 7:00,sign up is on the bulletin board at the Casino.
Matt and Kathy Lindley are bringing back the lobster bake this Saturday at 6 p.m.; be sure to get your tickets online for this event.
The Rev.Charles Carrick, chaplain,Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, Pennsylvania will conduct Sunday services on July 26 at 9:30. All are welcome.

.Congratulations to Ashley Pond Butler and Jeffrey Nelson on their recent engagement which took place here at Ocean Point in a very meaningful location. Ashley is the daughter of Mark and Cara Pond. We wish both Ashley and Jeffrey many, many years of love and happiness together.
