News and notes from the Community Center
Our durable medical equipment program is in need of shower chairs and wheelchairs. We have lots of other equipment and are happy to provide it to anyone who needs it at no charge. If you have equipment that you aren’t using, bring it to us and we’ll pass it along to folks who need it.
Back by popular demand! The Community Center’s world-famous cookie walk is coming on Friday, Feb. 13. Stay tuned for details.
Soup’s on! Wednesday, Feb. 18 we will have another free community soup lunch with homemade soups, breads and desserts from 11:30 a.m. until we run out! Everyone is welcome.
Technology Talk! BHML’s Bethany Schmidt will be here on Thursday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to talk about technology and answer your questions.
We are looking for a couple of bridge players who want to play a casual game on Fridays. If you are interested, please give us a call at 633-9876.

Drivers needed and highly appreciated! Do you have a few extra hours? Want to help your friends and neighbors who can’t drive? Our People Helping People program helps those who can’t drive by taking them shopping and to appointments. Volunteer as your time permits - once a week, once every two weeks or a few hours. During winter months, we need additional drivers so please call the Community Center (633-9876} for information and to volunteer.
Schedule Feb. 2 through 6:
Monday: Drop-in Knitting 10 a.m. – noon; Inner Peace 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Tuesday: Mahjong 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Qigong 11 a.m.-noon; Visually Impaired Persons 1:15 p.m.
Wednesday: Ladies Who Love to Dance 10:30-11:30 a.m.; Stitchcraft noon - 2 p.m.; Cribbage 12:30-1:30 p.m.; Dr. Teel, 3:00 p.m.
Thursday: Mexican Train Dominoes 10 a.m.-noon; Cribbage and Mahjong 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Friday: Bridge 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Scrabble and Rummikub Noon-2 p.m.
