Happy New Year everyone!

Did you know that our wonderful volunteers have driven their neighbors more than 5,000 miles this year? Through our People Helping People program those who need rides are taken to medical appointments, grocery shopping and other errands. We are always in need of drivers so if you have a few hours every now and then to help out, please give us a call at 633-9876.

And here are some other ways you can help your neighbors:

• Help us fill the wagon. Stop by and donate canned goods and other non-perishable items to be delivered to the Community Fridge by our volunteers.

 • Drop off clean, warm winter coats of all sizes as well as warm hats, scarves and gloves which will be delivered to the Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church for their clothing closet. 

We are looking for anyone who would like to play a casual game of bridge on Fridays between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Call us at 633-9876 to sign up. 

Schedule Dec. 29 through Jan. 2: 

Monday: Drop In Knitting 10 a.m.-noon, Inner Peace 1-2 p.m. 

Tuesday:  Mah Jong, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; QiGong 11 a.m.-noon 

Wednesday: Ladies Who Love to Dance 10:30-11:30 a.m.; Cribbage 12:30-1:30 p.m. 

Thursday: Center closed. Happy New Year! 

Friday: Bridge 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; Scrabble and Rummikub noon-2 p.m.
