The Community Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1 in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 2, following our regular schedule. 

Don’t miss the next V.I.P. (Visually Impaired People) meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 1:15 p.m. Members will share updates on their vision treatments—whether it’s eye injections, cataract surgery or getting bifocals. There will also be time for Q&A, support, and information on the latest tools and resources.

The Community Center invites friends and neighbors to an easygoing afternoon filled with friendly faces and great conversation. It's a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and simply enjoy each other’s company. We’ll gather on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Robinson’s Wharf. Come hang out with the Genealogy Club on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s all about exploring your family history and enjoying great conversation—plus, there are always some tasty treats to share. It’s a fun, relaxed way to spend your Saturday. Don’t miss it!

We'll leave from the Community Center at 10 a.m. Come learn about the remarkable legacy of Frances Perkins—the first woman to serve in a U.S. presidential cabinet and the longest-serving Secretary of Labor (1933–1945). We’re pleased to announce that State Representative Holly Stover will be visiting the Community Center on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss current legislative issues and how they impact our community.
