As another Maine summer reaches its peak, it is a fitting time to reflect on what has been an incredibly rewarding and active season so far at Sample's Shipyard.

Over the past several months, our waterfront has been alive with activity. We were proud to celebrate the reopening of our museum experience, welcome visitors from around the world, and host several outstanding public events that showcased not only our historic shipyard but also the vibrant maritime community that makes Boothbay Harbor so special. These events have been a wonderful reminder that our shipyard is more than a place to repair and restore boats—it is a place where maritime history, craftsmanship, service, and community come together.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated team has remained focused on what matters most: providing exceptional service to our customers. From routine maintenance and mid-season repairs to complex restoration projects, our craftsmen, mechanics, and service staff continue to demonstrate the professionalism, attention to detail, and pride we strive for at Sample's Shipyard.

One of the season's proudest accomplishments was the successful completion and on-time delivery ofBrig Niagara back to Erie, Pennsylvania for their 250th Celebration. Seeing this historic vessel depart our railway after months of dedicated work was a tremendous milestone and a testament to the skill, commitment, and teamwork of our team.

We've also continued investing in the future of the shipyard through ongoing improvements to our facilities, equipment, and waterfront infrastructure. These investments allow us to better serve today's customers while preserving this historic property for generations to come. I invite everyone to come and see for yourself!

As the summer cruising season settles into a welcome rhythm, our team appreciates a brief opportunity to catch its breath before preparations begin for another busy haul-out season in the weeks ahead.
