Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 4 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 350 calls for service for the period of July 21 to July 28. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,509 calls for service.
Arrests
Dalton J. Palmer, 31, of Brunswick was arrested July 22 on an Androscoggin County warrant for Burglary and Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Kyle Canada.
Tony D. Cocco, 27, of Edgecomb was arrested July 23 on warrants from Knox County (x2) for Failure to Appear and from Kennebec County (x2) for Failure to Appear, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Zachary Smith.
Noel Antonio Obando Torrez, 26, of Windsor was arrested July 24 on a Cumberland County warrant for Failure to Appear on an Operating without a License charge and an additional charge of Operating without a License, on this date, on East River Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Nathaniel Aronson.
Kyle M. Gornto, 33, of Southport was arrested July 25 for Violating Condition of Release and Assault, on Camerons Point Road, Southport Island, by Deputy Samuel Alexander, who was assisted by Sgt. Jonathan Colby.
Accidents
On July 21, an accident occurred on Sheepscot Road in Alna involving Eric M. Rand, 42, of Lewiston. Mr. Rand was operating his 2022 Dodge Ram northbound when his vehicle veered left across the center line, went off the road and swerved back across the center line, where it collided with a guardrail. Mr. Rand stated he was fatigued and possibly fell asleep. Deputy Brandon Maciuba was the investigating officer.
On July 21, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Whitefield involving Adrianna Manders, 44, of Spruce Head. Ms. Manders was operating her 2019 Toyota Camry eastbound when a deer struck her vehicle in the roadway. When Ms. Manders went to pull over, she sideswiped a utility pole. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.
On July 22, an accident occurred on US Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Isaac T. Berry, 18, of Waldoboro. Mr. Berry was operating his 1973 Ford LTD northbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck his vehicle. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On July 23, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Judith A. Douglas, 69, of Pittston. Ms. Douglas was operating her 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound when she struck a hay bale that was in the road, which fell from a trailer. Deputy Ethan Burns was the investigating officer.
On July 23, an accident occurred on Corey Lane in Boothbay involving Kiersten C. Lynch, 79, of Boothbay and Paul V. Greenleaf, 86, of Boothbay. Ms. Lynch was operating her 2024 Volvo XC60 through the parking lot of the Boothbay Town Office. Mr. Greenleaf was backing his 2010 Chrysler Town & Country out of a parking space and backed into Lynch’s vehicle. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On July 23, an accident occurred on US Route 1 in Damariscotta involving Shawn H. McFarland, 18, of Jefferson. Mr. McFarland was operating his 2020 Chevrolet Equinox northbound when he went into the median and struck the road driving sign in the median, continued traveling in the median, then into the opposite lane, before eventually entering the correct lane and continued travel. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
