For 150 years, Lincoln Theater has been a place where our community comes together to laugh, to be moved, to discover something new, and to share an experience on the big screen or live on stage. Now, as we celebrate this remarkable milestone, there’s an opportunity to help care for this special place and prepare it for the next 150 years.

Through Oct. 31, every gift to the Lincoln Theater’s 150th Anniversary Fund is being matched dollar for dollar, up to $50,000, thanks to the generosity of a donor who believes in the theater’s future. That means your contribution can go twice as far in helping us care for our historic building and welcome audiences for generations to come.

All funds raised will support a range of important projects, including the recently completed repairs to the historic window exterior framing along Main Street and the upgrade to the fire safety system. Additional projects include restoring the 150-year-old granite step at the base of the Grand Staircase as well as a new center railing, cosmetic improvements to the bathrooms, entryways, annex staircase and elevator, and completion of renovations to the concessions area.

At the beginning of 2026, a Historic Building Conditions Assessment was completed, providing us with a better understanding of what the most important needs for the theater are and how to tackle them. We are continuing to work with the architects and engineers to create a master plan for the theater moving forward, tackling the behind-the-scenes upgrades and repairs necessary to keep our historic building safe, while also allowing us to welcome audiences with all the technological needs for the future.

We are grateful for the support this community has shown for over a century and a half. We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to double the impact of your contribution to the 150th Anniversary Fundraising effort. Your gift will go twice as far when donated through Oct. 31, helping us prepare for the future of this community treasure. Every gift, big or small, makes an impact.
