Dear Editor:

It is with many thanks and much appreciation to Mike Alley and his hard working crew for the thoughtful placement of my brother's (PFC Elmer Gay Wright) new Military Banner along with all the other men and women Patriots' Banners.

Additional "Thanks/Appreciation" need to be expressed to all in Boothbay Harbor, Southport and Edgecomb who hung their banners.

Of course, all kinds of kudos must go to Southport's Jim Singer who not only created the Banner Program thoughout our peninsula, but upon a more personal note, after reading my brother's World War II story, made sure he would be so recognized. Not in our wildest imagination did we think of such an honor to be had.
