Maine Department of Environmental Protection ruled a massive demolition debris pile at the Boothbay Region transfer station presented no health violations during a July 18 visit.
Station Manager William Johnson confirmed DEP visited the station due to a complaint by an East Boothbay woman who complained to several municipal officials about an alleged health hazard associated with the debris. "Yes, there was a visit, and it was ruled an unfounded complaint," Johnson said July 21.
