Maine Cornhole Classic canceled for 2026
Directors of the Maine Cornhole Classic, which has been held at the Boothbay Railway Village Museum the past few years as a fundraiser for Special Olympics Maine, have announced that “After a lot of thoughtful discussion, our committee has made the decision to take a one-year pause on the Maine Cornhole Classic.”
The event usually drew dozens of cornhole players, supporters and fans each year.
In their recent Facebook post, the directors (Sawyer Boulette, Krystal Blackman-Navarette and Rob Wheeler) posted “While we won’t be tossing bags in Boothbay this year, this isn’t goodbye, it’s simply a chance to reset, recharge, and come back even stronger in 2027!
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has made this event such a success over the years, our dedicated players, volunteers, sponsors, and our friends at Real Wicked Events. Because of your support, we’ve built something truly special, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of the journey.
“Stay tuned… we’ll be announcing our 2027 Maine Cornhole Classic date before you know it, and we can’t wait to see everyone back next year for another unforgettable weekend.”
