Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 4 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 379 calls for service for the period of Aug. 12 to Aug. 19. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 9,434 calls for service.
Summonses
Meredith Mitchell, 83, of Boothbay was issued a summons Aug. 12 for Assault, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Daniel P. Witt, 78, of Southport was issued a summons Aug. 14 for Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, on Western Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
A 12-year-old male juvenile from Waldoboro was issued a summons Aug. 16 for Operating Vehicle without a License, on US Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Arrests
Justine Sillon, 53, of Augusta was arrested Aug. 12 for Operating after License Suspension and Violating Condition of Release, on Cookson Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba.
David G. Mosher, 45, of Dresden was arrested Aug. 14 for Violation of a Protection Order, on Cedar Grove Road, Dresden, by Deputy Ethan Burns, who was assisted by Detective Matthew Ryan.
Chad R. Nickles, 27, of Owls Head was arrested Aug. 16 for Operating under the Influence – Drugs and Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked – prior, on River Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Brandon Maciuba, who was assisted by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Shawn C. Crosson, 40, of Dresden was arrested Aug. 17 for Domestic Violence Assault and Terrorizing, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Ethan Burns, who was assisted by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Aug. 13, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Hunter N. Proctor, 28, of Dresden. Mr. Proctor was operating his 1998 Chevrolet 1500 northbound when he became distracted and lost control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle went off the road on the right, side-swiped a utility pole and then struck a tree. Deputy Ethan Burns was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 15, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Scott M. Grady, 42, of Damariscotta. Mr. Grady was operating his 2019 Jeep Cherokee southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and struck his vehicle. Deputy Nathan Yeaton was the investigating officer.
REVISED: The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office report for the Aug. 28, 2025 issue for the Boothbay Register/Wiscasset Newspaper misidentified the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident on Wiscasset Road/Route 27 in Boothbay. The accident on Aug. 15, 2025 involved Johnathan D. McMullin and Susan Margonelli. It was written in the report that Johnathan D. McMullin was the at-fault party in the accident, when in reality Susan Margonelli was the driver of the vehicle which struck the Johnathan D. McMullin vehicle, which was a total loss. The revised crash report was supplied by LCSO.
On Aug. 16, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Justice A. Pierpont, 22, of Jefferson and Lily A. Tabenken, 23, of Falmouth. Both vehicles were stopped in traffic, traveling northbound, with Ms. Tabenken’s 2009 Nissan Altima in front of Mr. Pierpont’s 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Both vehicles started moving forward when Mr. Pierpont lost sight of Tabenken’s vehicle, causing Pierpont to rear end Tabenken’s vehicle. Deputy Nathan Yeaton was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 16, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Kelsey J. Smith, 30, of Jefferson. Ms. Smith was operating her 2010 Nissan Sentra northbound when she stated she looked away to adjust her radio and lost control on a curve. As a result, her vehicle went off the road to the left and collided against a tree, causing significant damage to the front. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 16, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Michael Pomerleau, 45, of Augusta. Mr. Pomerleau was operating his 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and struck his motorcycle. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
