Lincoln County Republicans meet July 23
The monthly meeting of Lincoln County Republicans will be held Wednesday, July 23, at the Wiscasset Rec Center, 242 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the speakers begin at 6. This month’s guest speakers are, National Committeewoman, Lauren LePage, and National Committeeman, David Whitney.
Lauren is a licensed Maine attorney, political strategist and government affairs professional based in York County. Her areas of focus include political and crisis communication, legislative advocacy, and comprehensive management of various campaigns and initiatives.
A lifelong Mainer, Lauren grew up in Waterville. After completing a bachelor’s degree in biologicalsSciences with a minor incChemistry at Florida State University, Lauren returned home to work for former Governor Paul LePage in his 2010 gubernatorial election and throughout his administration. Lauren also earned a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law and became a member of the Maine Bar in 2017.
Following law school, Lauren joined a public affairs firm, and in 2018, she became a state director for the National Rifle Association where she executed all government affairs and political efforts for Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Lauren resides in Waterboro with her husband Matt, and their two dogs Bailey and Bullet.
David M. Whitney is a Maine native and a 4th generation businessman from Washington County. David attended Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa and graduated from University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing/management.
David’s family of companies currently includes Whitney Wreath, Downeast Packaging Solutions, Whitney’s TriTown Marine, Machias Glassworks, Whitney Holdings, and Micolash (Real Estate holdings).
David is the chair of the Washington County Republican Committee since 2022, and lives with his wife of 26 years, Holly, in Marshfield. They have three children Michon, Coleton and Ashton.
Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items that will be donated to the local food pantry.
A business meeting will follow at 7. This event is open to registered Republicans.
