Kouchera concert at Edgecomb church July 19
On Sunday, July 19, the Edgecomb Community Church will be sponsoring a summer concert featuring Kouchera, a local band whose live performances are rooted in Haitian Konpa, Soul, and R&B. Beginning at 7 p.m. the church sanctuary will be rocking with this unique group of musicians performing their special blend of music.
The word Kouchera (pronounced koo-chair-uh) is a seamless blend of Haitian, Creole and Hindu words for “cousin.” Their sets are designed to engage audiences and create a welcoming, feel-good atmosphere." Families with children are strongly encouraged to attend this special event.
Kouchera will perform a special R&B concert that promises to take you on a journey through time. From the soulful rhythms of the 70s to the infectious beats of the 80s, the smooth melodies of the 90s, and the modern hits of the 2000s, we'll be celebrating some of the best of R&B music across several decades. Their full band of five members will be performing.
A donation of $10 per person is suggested. Profits will go toward the church’s local mission efforts.
