When Kevin Kiley puts out the call for a show, his talented friends always say yes. For more than a decade, Kiley has been assembling an embarrassment of musical riches for his eponymous annual summer show at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor. This year, he has conjured a stellar crew for a show on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Opera House.

An indispensable member of the Opera House staff, technical director Kiley works year-round in the lighting booth and with ever-changing tech crews during concert load-ins, all with skill and aplomb. To the delight of residents and visitors to the Boothbay region for decades, he has provided entertainment at the Boothbay Harbor Inn for more than 30 years. He is also lured from the lighting booth during Halloween to emcee the Scary Readings & Potluck event at the Opera House. 

Prior to bringing his musical talents, and set design talents to both the Opera House and the Carousel Theater, Kiley lived and worked in New York. He traveled on the national tour of “Little Shop of Horrors” as puppeteer. As an actor, Kiley has performed with Heartwood Theater in Newcastle.

For this show, he will be joined by vocalists John Adams, Jen McLeod, Mary O’Neal, and Todd Sherry. The group will perform well-known music from Broadway and the Great American Songbook.

The box office is open Wednesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular tickets are $25, on the day of the concert and online at boothbayoperahouse.com. Doors for seating open at 7 p.m. The bar will have cold drinks for sale, cash only.
