The 2025/2026 Boothbay Region High School indoor track team. Courtesy of Nick ScottThe Boothbay Region High School indoor track team held its annual awards night March 5. The 20 students were recognized for their performance during the 2025-2026 season.
This year, six Boothbay region athletes competed at the Class B State Indoor Track Championships Feb. 16. Overall, four girls and six boys qualified for state championships across 14 events. In addition, school program records were set in the 55m hurdles, 55m dash, 200m dash, 5000m run, mile race walk, long jump and triple jump.
The following students were recognized: Seniors Logan Bourne, Rose Campbell, Ross Gaffney, Lysander Lefevre, Kora Mckenney and Nathan Percival; juniors AJ Crocker, Lexi Hughes and Casey Phelps; sophomores Isaac Fanslau, Ben Gapski, Aron Geddes, Kolton McKenney, Jess Raburn, Elijah Smith, Moriah Smith, Zuri Smith and Sam Ware; and freshmen Dom Dipippio and Maggie McCarthy. The team was coached by Nick Scott, Jake McCarthy and Josh Higgins.
In addition, several athletes were given plaque awards. Gapski and Moriah Smith were named the most valuable players. Campbell and Bourne were presented the coach's' award, and McCarthy and Fanslau were named most improved.
