2 contested races highlight Boothbay municipal ballot
Three candidates are vying for one seat on the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Superintending School Committee. Incumbent Abigail Jones returned her nomination papers Feb. 27. She is challenged by Riley R. Mitchell, who returned his papers Feb. 9, and Shani Bryer is another challenger. She returned her papers Feb. 24. The seat is for a three-year term.
The other contested race is for cemetery district trustee. Incumbent Sara Fahnley returned her papers Feb. 11. Former trustee Kim W. Pinkham is challenging her for a three-year term. He returned his papers Feb. 13.
All other races have incumbents running unopposed.
Selectman Chuck Cunningham returned his papers Feb. 27 and incumbent Julie E. Roberts turned her papers in on Feb. 26. Each seat is for a three-year term. Incumbent Paul E. Roberts returned his nomination papers Feb. 26 to run for Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Community School District trustee. The seat is for a three-year term.
V. Kevin Anthony is running for re-election as a Boothbay Region Water District trustee. He turned in his papers March 2. The seat is for a three-year term.
