Fun and funky salads












With all the fun in the sun a Maine summer has to offer, sometimes you need something lighter on the stomach. In the Boothbay region, our restaurants know how to mix up unique combos, from fire-torched fruit salad to crispy noodles tucked in cabbage.
727 Ocean Sunset Bar at Smuggler's Cove Inn:
727 Orange Maple Salad: Locally sourced tender greens, topped with apples, strawberries, pears, candied pecans, aged Gorgonzola cheese, served with orange-maple dressing
Harborside 1901 Bar & Grill:
Fried Goat Cheese & Peach Salad: spring mix, cherry tomatoes, raspberry, grilled peaches, fried goat cheese balls, toasted almonds, served with raspberry dressing.
McSeagulls:
Thai Crunch Bowl: Rice noodles, shredded cabbage, carrots, cucumber, radishes, peanuts, tossed in a spicy ginger peanut dressing.
Mine Oyster:
Fruit Kissed with Fire: grilled pineapple, melon, berries, grapes, caramelized sugar, goat cheese, mint and balsamic glaze.
Newagen Seaside Inn:
Summmer Citrus: frisée, arugula, red grapefruit, orange, manchego, candied pecan, with a creamy poppyseed dressing (can add grilled chicken, grilled steak, grilled shrimp, or picked lobster).
Robinson's Wharf:
Robinson's Grain Bowl: lettuce, farro, chickpea salad, tomatoes, carrots, served with vinaigrette.
Whale's Tale at Carousel Marina:
All summer salads are made with fresh vegetables from Boothbay Farmers' Market, including Ceasar, house and wedge salads and Farmers' Market specialty salads.
