The essence of August on display at BRAF
The water, the wind, and the wonder of a summer day in Maine set the vibe for the new August Member’s Show at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF). The exhibition is now on view through Aug. 23 at the BRAF Gallery, located at 1 Townsend Ave. in the heart of downtown Boothbay Harbor.
August marks the height of the summer season in Boothbay Harbor and BRAF’s flagship exhibition reflects that peak energy. Featuring over 200 works by local Maine artists, this year's August show offers one of the foundation’s largest and finest collections of the year, spanning diverse mediums, styles, and interpretations of coastal life in Maine.
In addition to the main gallery show, BRAF is proud to host a solo exhibition by Maine artist Sarah Wilde in its upstairs Gallery One space, entitled “Mostly Land and Seascapes.” Wilde’s work offers visitors an intimate, expressive visual journey through Maine's iconic coastal terrains and rural landscapes.
All are welcome to attend an opening reception on Friday, Aug. 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to experience the artwork, enjoy light refreshments, and meet the featured artists behind the collection.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free and open to the public
