Don’t miss the spring plant sale May 9 at Union Fairgrounds
The Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District invites you to its annual Spring Plant Cash & Carry Sale on Saturday, May 9, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Union Fairgrounds. This popular one-day event offers a wide selection of high-quality plants chosen for both their ecological benefits and landscape beauty.
Available plants have been carefully selected for their value in windbreaks, live staking, lakeshore buffers, bank stabilization, erosion control, and wildlife habitat—supporting songbirds, pollinators, and other beneficial insects. Varieties are also chosen for their productivity, resistance to pests and disease, and adaptability to a range of soil and light conditions. From vibrant spring blooms to rich fall color, these plants will enhance any home landscape.
Many of the plants featured at the sale are responsibly grown by local nurseries, including Crystal Lake Farm & Nursery in Washington and Rebel Hill Farm in Liberty.
In addition to plants, shoppers can purchase a variety of backyard conservation tools, including Systern rain barrels, Earth Machine compost bins, compost turners, and thermometers—everything you need to support sustainable practices at home.
For payment options, we accept checks and credit cards too.
