The colorful and fun BRES Holiday Concert
Familiar songs sung by tiny voices, the red and green of Christmas, head (and nose!) adornments, and dozens of happy faces in the front and in the crowd made for a cheerful and fun Holiday Concert put on by the pre-K through fourth graders at Boothbay Region Elementary School Friday, Dec. 19 – the last day of school before winter break. As usual, the BRES gym was packed with parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, other relatives and friends.
Under the direction of music teacher Nancy Cole, eight songs were performed, with the final song sung by members of the BRES staff.
Tom Dewey served as the master of ceremonies, introducing each class and the song they were going to sing.
The songs included “Jingle Bells,” “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” “Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas,” “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” “The Maine Christmas Song,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day.”
