BRHS graduation events begin
The 41 members of Boothbay Region High School’s graduating class of 2026 have begun their final schedule of events before receiving their diplomas on Friday, June 12.
A Senior Sunrise breakfast at Robinson’s Wharf was held on Friday, May 29, the last day of classes for the seniors will be Wednesday, June 3, then the schedule gets even busier.
On Thursday, June 4, marching practice will be held at 8 a.m. That evening at 6, Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club will host the class for dinner and congratulatory sentiments.
Following marching practice on June 5 at 8 a.m., the annual Senior Field Day will commence with games, food and more.
The Boothbay Region Alumni Association has scheduled its Alumni Lunch at Kaler’s Crab and Lobster House on Sunday, June 7 from noon to 2 p.m. Boothbay Region High School alumni, families, and community members are invited to attend. Guests can enjoy the popular taco bar, returning for its second year, or choose from Kaler's regular menu. Donations will be accepted at the door to support the Class of 2026 graduation activities and future alumni activities.
Morning marching practices will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 8 and 9. Also June 9, the seniors have been invited to the Masonic Lodge, Route 96, East Boothbay for the annual cookout beginning at 6 p.m.
The annual Awards Night will be held Wednesday, June 10 at 6 p.m. in Porter Memorial Gymnasium. Scholarships, awards and the Frances Aley Book Awards will be presented to seniors and underclassmen.
The Grand March and Alumni Ball will be held in the gym on Thursday, June 11 beginning at 7 p.m. A $5 per person donation will be taken at the door. Join the class for this 100-year-plus tradition and enjoy the music and camaraderie.
The busiest day for the seniors will be Friday, June 12 with Class Day ceremonies beginning at 8 a.m., followed by their walk through the halls of the elementary school. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., with the gym opening at 1 p.m. At 4 p.m., graduates will participate in a car parade through the downtown area and around the roundabout and Boothbay Common.
The Project Graduation trip will be a trip up north for whitewater rafting on June 12, with the graduates returning June 14.
