Boothbay Planning Board considering 2 applications
Mon, 06/22/2026 - 1:00pm
The Boothbay Planning Board reviewed two applications June 17 and will likely make decisions on both next month. The board reviewed Ron and Jamie Campbell's application for a Back River Road subdivision. The Campbells sought approval for a three-lot division creating two additional residential lots.
Upon initial review, the board placed four conditions on the application: Combining the two rights-of-way, showing the location of a public safety vehicle turnaround, a letter showing adequate water supply, and a Department of Environmental Protection approval letter.
The property is in a rural mixed-use district.
The second application was continued until after planning board members held a site visit. The James P. Womack 2000 Revocable Trust is seeking to replace a structure within 75 feet of the shoreland setback. The board will reconvene on Friday, July 26 for a site review at the Greenleaf Road property, which is in a coastal district and shoreland overlay zone.
The board's next meeting is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 15 in the conference room.
