Boothbay Planning Board approves 4 applications
The Boothbay Planning Board approved four applications Aug. 20. The board conditionally approved a single-family dwelling renovation within the 75-foot shoreland setback. The property is on Albion Point Road and owned by Scott and Susannah Alberino of Potomac, Maryland. The property is in a coastal residential district and shoreland overlay zone.
The application was first heard July 16, and was tabled to July 18 for a board site visit. Brent James of Knickerbocker Group represented the couple during all three meetings. The board conditionally approved the application upon receiving a Maine Department of Environmental Protection permit by rule for the renovation. The application also needs permits by rule for a retaining wall from both the town and state.
Craig Collins and Pamela Gardiner of Woolwich received a wharves and weirs permit for their 9 Blackstone Road property. The couple wants to rebuild a recreational pier. The property is in a coastal residential and shoreland overlay zone.
David and Laurie Cope of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania received approval to amend the Snider Subdivision approved by the board in October 1991 and amended in November 2004, regarding a boundary line change. The proposal involves transferring 0.26 acres from one plot to another. The properties are owned by trusts of Myrna G. Snider and Tina S. Snider. The property is on Rice Road in residential and coastal residential and shoreland overlay districts.
The Trust of Julie A. Barber of Charlotte, North Carolina received approval to move a single-family dwelling currently in the 75-foot shoreland setback to outside the zone and fill in the foundation remaining in the setback. The property is on Spruce Shores Road in a coastal residential district and shoreland overlay zone.
The board meets next at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 in the conference room.
