Bayville Buzz
Plans are coming together for the upcoming July 4 extravaganza. Phil Roberts has pulled his Revolutionary War outfit out of mothballs and will be portraying George Washington while giving historic tours of our Village throughout the day. The annual BIA meeting will start at 9 a.m. and the parade at noon.
Of course, no celebration of our nation’s 250th would be complete without an MMA spectacle. Construction of the octagon on the grounds of the Community House is nearing completion. If you are interested in competing, there are still a few slots available and weigh ins will be this Friday.
Lyn and Billy’s son Graham, will be in town with his partner, Emliana German Roman and friends from Temple U. They will be here for a week of boating, visiting the wharves and watching the World Cup. Nice win by the US last week! Speaking of wins, congratulations to the Knicks and Hurricanes on their championship seasons. As a Boston fan, it’s usually tough to see New York win anything, but 53 years is long enough to suffer and this team was fun to watch.
The seagulls and crows continue to harass our resident national symbol. The McNamaras, along with Laura, helped Pat celebrate another birthday at Ports.
Fantastic additions to our neighborhood include a horse named Danny and two new street signs. The signs not only look great, but should alleviate the traffic gridlock commonly caused by wayward drivers.
