Don’t miss Sail, Power, & Steam Museum’s next great in-concert performer, Gabriel Donohue & Friends, on Sunday, August 16, at 7 p.m.
Gabriel Donohue, singer-songwriter-musician, is renowned from the dance halls of Dublin, to the East Wing of the White House, along to the Irish pubs of Manhattan. He performs primarily on guitar and piano but also plays instruments ranging from bouzouki/mandolin to Irish and exotic percussion. Joining him for this lively performance are Irish-trained fiddler Alden Robinson and clarinetist Channing Lynn. You do not want to miss this show!
Gabriel brings a repertoire of over 3,000 songs, and quickly switches from an Irish ballad, to Broadway, to a great rendition of some of Johnny Cash’s most beloved tunes. He recently came off tour with the international women’s Irish Celtic Group, Cherish the Ladies.
Gabriel has recorded with the Boston Pops and spent three years on-the-road touring with the Grammy Award winning group, the Chieftains.
You might have seen his appearances on the “Tonight Show,” “CBS Morning Show,” the NBC “Today Show,” and many others. He performed with Michael Flatley at the National Heritage Awards in Washington, D.C. and with Eileen Ivers at the White House during the Clinton Administration.
Concerts are open seating, with tickets $25 at the door. For more information, visit https://sailpowersteammuseum.org, call 207-701-7627 or email sailpowersteammuseum@gmail.com.
