Lynn Martin, president of the Boothbay Region Alumni Association, announced this week that the Alumni Banquet is coming back.

After interest in the event waned over the past couple of years, the Alumni Association and the BRHS class of 2014 have decided to try to bring the traditional event back. The banquet is a catered dinner where the BRHS graduating class is honored. In 2012, the event turned into a luncheon and last year, the event was canceled due to a lack of interest.

The Alumni Banquet will be held at Boothbay Region Elementary School on Sunday, June 1 at 6 p.m. Catering the event will be Lisa Orne Hallinan. Guest speaker will be Stephanie Hawke.

Ticket prices and more information will be announced as the event draws closer, said Martin.
