The 12th annual Boothbay Region Y Penguin Plunge will be held Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 at the Murray Hill boat launch, Murray Hill Road, East Boothbay. Everyone is welcome to “take the plunge” at 11 a.m. There is no registration fee, only donations to benefit the Y’s second grade swim program.

Pledge forms are available at the Y.

This year’s plunge is dedicated to Bill and Jo Haney of East Boothbay. They are avid swimmers and grandparents of two swimmers on the Y Dolphin swim team.

A warming bus will be on location and Boothbay Region Ambulance Service attendants will be standing by in case of an emergency.
