Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club
Winter, it sure has been an “old-fashioned winter.” Snow, snow and more snow. Come spring we’ll be in great shape for furniture “pick ups” after all the shoveling and digging out this "wintah."The snow sure has been beautiful, too. Love those sunny days making everything shine and glisten. Maybe some photos of our landscape will make all our snowbirds jealous and they will hurry back!
So, it looks like another storm this Thursday. Our plan was a fun night of Trivia with Darrell Gudroe. Keep an eye out for the weather and an email from Mike just in case Weather Underground is correct and we're getting another chance to shovel instead of going to the Rotary Club.
Monday, Feb. 17, our club is hosting the Community Lunch at Brady's. Your Board Of Directors has allocated funds for a main dish, which Judi White is preparing (for around 80 people). (Thank you Judi) But, we still need donations of desserts and breads. Also, helping hands that day at Brady's to serve and clean up. Contact Judi to sign up for this amazing community event.
The Barn clean up is Saturday, Feb. 15. Weather Underground, my trusty fortune telling app, is currently predicting snow for that day, but starting in the afternoon. Laurie Z. and Mike T. will keep a weather watch and send an email if canceled.
So far, a good winter for shoveling, reading, doing puzzles, and making soup. Hope to see you all this Thursday for trivia.
