'12 Woofs of Christmas' sponsors shelter pets

The eighth annual “12 Woofs of Christmas” is in full swing at The Animal House in Damariscotta.
Customers choose a pet to sponsor from the two dozen photos featured from the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, located at the register. Dogs, cats and small animals from the shelter are all included in this event.
The sponsor then chooses a dollar amount of $5, $10 or $25 for a package of food and supplies, customized to the pet's age and health. Litter, supplements, toys, chews and treats are all included in these packages at wholesale pricing from The Animal House.
This fundraiser ends December 24, as bags are delivered to the shelter Christmas Eve.
Over 1,000 packages have been delivered to area shelters through the 12 Woofs event at The Animal House. Many pets have also been adopted through the photo listings, as well.
The Animal House & SUDS! Grooming is committed to community service through shelter and rescue fundraising and events. They specialize in healthy food and supplies for dogs, cats and companion animals and are located at 15 Coastal Marketplace, next to Yellowfront in Damariscotta.
