Y-Arts wrapping at Video Loft during Early Bird

The yearly shopping event Early Bird is this Saturday, Nov. 23, from 6 to 9 a.m., the Y-Arts kids will be stationed in front of Video Loft in the Meadow Mall wrapping presents and taking donations. They will also have a number of lottery tickets available for the $10,000 lottery (tickets cost $100 each).
All donations and proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Y-Arts trip to the iTheatrics Junior Music Theatre Festival taking place in January in Atlanta, Ga. The group will be performing “My Son Pinocchio Jr.” at the festival. The money helps pay for flights back and forth and rooms for the kids to stay during the festival.
“I'm hoping some of our older performers will step up and volunteer for at least a portion of the time we will be down there, and I hope some younger ones do as well,” said Emily Mirabile, Arts and Humanities Director at the Y and the leader of Y-Arts.
