Information sessions about girls school
Coastal Studies for Girls will hold three information sessions at area libraries in the coming weeks. The first will be at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick on Monday, Dec. 2 from 6 to 7 p.m. The second will be at the Skidompha Library in Damariscotta on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 6 to 7 p.m. The third will be at the Bowdoinham Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.
CSG, the nation's first and only residential semester school for 10th grade girls, offers girls from around the country the opportunity to immerse themselves in marine science, leadership, and rigorous core academics while living at the school's historic farmhouse in Freeport.
CSG is now accepting applications from 9th grade girls for the 2014-2015 semesters. Limited space is available for 10th grade girls in the upcoming spring semester, which begins February 9.
