We are excited to announce a year-long celebration in 2024 with special events and activities to honor Edgecomb’s 250th birthday. Each event celebrates a part of Edgecomb – its history, geography, people, and community spirit – that has made the town a special place to live. Events are free and open to the public.

Following is a list of events planned for 2024. More details about these event will be publicized 2-3 weeks prior to each event or activity. Meanwhile, put the dates on your calendar for 2024. We invite you to join the fun!

January   7:  History of Edgecomb, speaker at the Merry Barn  

January 21:  History of the Fort, speaker at the Merry Barn  

March     3:  250th Birthday Party at the Town Hall (speakers, performers, ice cream and cake) 

May       18:  Afternoon at Glidden Point Oyster Farm 

May       27:  Memorial Day flag ceremony by American Legion, Town Hall 

June        1:   Schmid Preserve self-guided historical tour (ongoing) 

June      10:   10K Road Race, Cross Point Road, Edgecomb 

July          6:   Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Edgecomb Fire Department 

July        14:   Special Service followed by an ice cream social, Edgecomb Community Church 

July        27:   Shop Crawl Edgecomb, self-guided tour of small businesses 

Sept.       7:    Schmid Preserve Day, activities at the Schmid  

Sept. 20-21:  Edgecomb Arts Tour, self-guided tour of artists’ studios 

Sept.     23:    Equinox Labyrinth Walk, Edgecomb Community Church 

Oct.       19:    Potluck Supper with stories at Edgecomb Community Church 

Dec. 12/13:   Charlie Brown Christmas Trees by Edgecomb Eddy School at Town Hall
