'Within the Whale: Spring Break Edition'
After an overwhelming response to its debut event, the Boothbay Memorial Library, Boothbay Region Land Trust, and Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences are thrilled to announce the return of "Within the Whale": the spring break edition on Saturday, April 18, from 1:-3 p.m. at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences at 60 Bigelow Drive, East Boothbay.
This unique, family-friendly experience invites visitors to step inside “Chunk,” a life-sized inflatable humpback whale, for an immersive journey through one of the ocean’s most magnificent creatures. The original program, held in February, drew nearly 400 attendees, with some unable to experience the full whale tour due to high demand.
In response, the three organizations have partnered again and are offering another chance for community members and visitors to experience this engaging educational opportunity.
“This program captured the imagination of so many people in our community,” said Tracey Hall, Environmental Educator from the Boothbay Region Land Trust. “We’re excited to offer it again during spring break, when even more families can take part.”
The event is free and open to the public. However, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees, pre-registration for a specific timed entry is required. Guests are encouraged to reserve their spot early, as space is limited. To register, visit: https://bbrlt.org/event/within-the-whale-spring-break-edition/
